This book and a companion one for physics students provides a solid introduction to physics for the general population. Its required reading for individuals attempting to understand the physics behind public policy decisions. Topics include nuclear weapons, nuclear power, climate change, biofuels and other relevant topics. He makes an effort to provide a balanced view of each topic.
